Missfire on all left hand bank s-type v6 year 2000

My jag started to missfire about a week ago,Garage said was sparkplugs.
Had new fitted by garage today,But not solved problem. Now they say all left hand bank missfire,They changed coils from one side to the other but still missfire.no warning lights on and they say no codes for a fault But there equipment may not be good enough to show fault codes.as they are not a main dealer.\would of been nice to know before i paid for plugs re-placing.

Can bonnet (Jag Cat leaper) mascot be fitted without any drilling new holes on 2000 S Type Jaguar

Yes the leaper can be fitted without drilling. The holes are under the badge, which are fixed on with double sided tape. If you are from the uk these are illegal and you can be stopped

Replace condenser on 2000 s type jag

FIRST OF ALL YOU HAVE TO TAKE CAR TO DEALERSHIP SO THEY CAN DISCHARGE AND RECOVER THE REFRIGERANT.THEN YOU CAN TAKE CAR HOME REMOVE THE RADIATOR TOP SUPPORT THEN REMOVE CONDENSORS LINES THEN CONDENSOR.GO TO DEALERSHIP TO BUY CONDENSOR LINES ORINGS LUBRICATE WITH R134 REFRIGERANT OIL.PUT NEW CONDENSOR.TAKE IT TO A GARAGE LET THEM PUMP IT DOWN ALL MOISTURE OUT OF SYSTEM CHECK FOR LEAKS THEN CHARGE IT BACK UP THIS WOULD BE THE CHEAPER WAY.

New timing belt fitted 2000 miles ago by garage after cambelt had snaped causing damage to engine. garage fixed engine and cambelt. auxillary was not replaced and shredded causing damage to new cambelt...

NO.a garage doesnt even have to ask you what "extras"you want(aux belt)although if they asked you would you have agreed as "most garages are a ripoff trying to fit items that are not required...."the majority are not cowboys but get tarred with the same brush.

Engine missfire

Get your local garage to put a scanner on the car. The early s-type used to suffer from ignition coil faults. If a fault has been hinted towards a specific coil then swap to a different cylinder and see if the fault follows wich will indicate a coil fault.

Has the vehicle had its spark plugs changed? every 70.000 miles as they tend to fail if left unchanged. Intake manifold requires removing to replace bank 1 plugs.

Also check the small rubber elbow on the end of the plastic beather pipe wich runs throught the intake manifold branches. Elbow is located at the rear of the engine

Hope that helps

New clutch installed on my 2005 Ford Focus 4 weeks ago. Today difficulty getting into 3rd gear then all the gears affected and eventually stuck in reverse gear only. Pick up truck took car back to the...

Sounds like air has gotten into the hydraulic clutch system, or it is low on fluid from a failed master or slave hydraulic clutch cylinder or connecting line between the master and slave cylinders.
