When i go to sound the horn, it blows the fuse. Why how do i fix?
SOURCE: I just got a 1995
Take cap off rad when cool enough to do so. Start the car with cap off & heater turned on,(not defrost) and let it run for a while, as in wait for rad fan to come on 2 or 3 times. Add coolant/mix as needed while doing so. My guess is that you have an air lock in cooling/heating system that hasn't been bled out yet. Once in a while just rev engine a little, for about 30-second to 1 minute to increase flow through system, to help bleed & circulation. You should start to feel heat coming. Only put rad cap back on after rad fan has come on after 2nd or 3rd time. Check return bottle & fill it to mark as specified. If that doesn't do it, take it back to guy who flushed it, he should know what he did wrong.
SOURCE: blown head gasket
I would change both, as well as use new head bolts. Make sure your heads are not warped or cracked, especially the one that is leaking. There may not be any need to change the head if it is not cracked. These are prone to blowing a gasket especially after 150K miles or so. It will not cost a huge additional amount to change both head gaskets since the engine will have to be disassembled down to the heads anyway. Hope this helps you, Rick
SOURCE: Horn on my car does not work..not safe!!!
if you have power at the connections, & all connections are good, try tapping the horn unit lightly with a hammer. In a garage I worked at some years ago we would remove the horn unit & drop it on the floor, if it didn't work after that it usually ment the internal coil was burnt out & the unit needed replacing. There should be a resistance reading across the terminals of the unit (when disconnected) although this will require a test meter.
SOURCE: How to replace egr valve on 1995 crown vic 4.6.
On 1995 Crown Victoria the EGR valve is located at
the rear of the engine compartment. While the attaching bolts can be
gotten out with a little bit of a problem the egr tube that atteches the
EGR valve to the right exhaust manifold is a pain. It is possible to do
though. Here are the removal and installation instructions. If you are
sure that the EGR valve is the reason for any check engine light then
you can remove the battery cable for about five minutes to reset the
light, but if the light is on for a differant reason then you just got
rid of the code plus any freeze frame data that a shop could have used
to diagnose the problem.
