This will cause excessive vibration, ruin the belt/s, and could walk off and destroy the openning at the crankshaft requiring the crank shaft to be replaced or repaired. Expensive to do so.

Mazda Etude 1.8 sportswagon 2001 model. Replaced cambelt-cambelt not running true. Partly running off top gear pulleys & rubs on belt cover. What could be cause as mechanic repaired-still happening.

This is caused by one of your pullys being out of line with the others, posiblly because of a bad bearing or one just not assembled correctly. I'd check this with a straight edge on the front of the pullys.

My 2005 grand am is squealing badly, replaced idle pull didn't work, could crank pulley or water pump pulley be causing it

Hi Jason remove belt and turn all the pulleys by hand there must be one seizing. And check the crank pully some have a rubber damper that fails and causes the outer pully to spin on the inner one. Good Luck.

Why would my rpms run so high when i drive my caer is there a way to fix this ?

rpms run so high??? if the engine RPM rises real high driving in gear.
and the car dont move faster, in DIRECT Proportions.?
then that is called transmission slip (or clutch slip)
if how ever, the the above is not HAPPENING
then , that means the engine IDLE Controls are out of CONTROL
this is caused for 2 (macro) reasons.
1: Engine, is running very bad (50 causes) iSC is VICTIM here)
2; or Not THAT but is the ISC idle control bad or stuck.
#1 and #2 have many tests to find true cause, take ASE class and see, them all.

you burned up your P/S pump.
all that must be replaced, when any belt fails we check all pulleys
on that belt for seized parts. (hand spun, and or damage or in your case ignoring fluid loss.
then when running, we listen to it with a 5 buck stethoscope. for the right sound. dig? the bearings can be heard to go bad way before total death and destructing, sure can..

ISC = IDLE SPEED CONTROLLER.

You state you changed plugs and wires - Do distributor cap & rotor? If not you should then set timing. That should cure hesitation (might change fuel filter also and run good fuel system cleaner through it)
Prob 2 - sounds like a u-joint or possible brake pad/rotor issue. Does the squeal only happen in mornings when cold? Sometimes after sitting overnight, rotors get condensation and when backing out they'll squeal/grind. Somethings to look at...

Can i drive with my 2001 aurora harmonic balancer making a loud noise

you can but i wouldn't. what has happened it the rubber in between the pully and balancer is dry rotted and bad and what is going to happen is the pully will come off it and the belt is going to fly off leaving you stranded with no water pump alternator and power steering and could cause damage to your motor. so i would get it fixed and the only driving i would do is nessary like getting it to a shop.

let me know if you have any more question. good luck

Hi I'm litoshop the bottom pulley is the damper that damper could be broken if you tighten the crankshaft bolt and the pulley is not aligned then you may need to replace the damper and when you replace the damper before you put the bolt on use a little lock tite it's a liquid us mechanics use when we don't want a bolt to loosen so easy. if this information has been helpful please let us know thank you and good luck
