I agree with other expert, the job wan't done right or poor quality parts were used or both. The transmission must come out and be gone through again CORRECTLY.

It really sounds like the parts may have been inferior quality. It is their responsibility to save the parts to show you. How do you know they didn't just have it relined? If it has been relined and not new, what is too say they didn't get the height of the friction material right?! Let me know what they say.

You will not get a "slip" because of gearbow issues. However, if you did not change the pressure plate, go ahead and get that done. The job should be completed with all new parts (i.e. pressure plate, new throw out bearing, friction disc and new pilot bearing/bushing). I really hope this helps.

SOURCE: my 405 diesel est gearbox

no you should not have to change the flywheel they were all the same - but as the cable and clutch fork operate differently you would be advised to check this

one anchors the cable outer and the inner cable moves the clutch fork
the other the inner cable is anchored and the outer sheath moves the clutch fork

also while you have it all off change the clutch thrust bearing
and be careful of the plastic speedo drive housed in the output of the diff it doesnt take much to break it (drive shaft going in at a slight angle)

How do I adjust the clutch on a Tatar indigo

It will depend if the clutch is cable operated or hydraulic. Most modern cars are hydraulic systems and cannot be adjusted without taking the gearbox off. What problems are you having with the clutch? Is it spongy, noisy or slipping? Spongy means there's an air bubble in the system. noise or slipping means the clutch is heavily worn and needs replacing.

Transmission slipping

This normally means your clutch is worn down and needs replacement. Much less likely is that the clutch pedal travel needs adjustment.

Replacement of the clutch requires removal of the gearbox and is much easier with a shop hoist. I'd recommend replacing the pressure plate assembly as well.

Symptoms are those of a clutch up for replacement. There's a thin layer of clutch plate left before the rivets holding the plates hit the metal clutch surface. The effects you describe are quite normal.

There are 2 flavors of clutch replacement - new and refurbished. Both usually can be obtained through a WV dealer. The difference is usually warranty and price.

There is an oil seal on the gearbox/transaxle input shaft. If this has failed it will leak oil on to the clutch. It might be able to be replaced by just removing the gearbox again to access the seal. Most likely though is, the gearbox will need to be opened up to replace it.

Hi

If your clutch is slipping the clutch plate is worn out and will have to be changed. This involves engine and gearbox has to be taken out - then the gearbox has to be sperated from the engine to remove the clutch assembly and replace the clutch plate with a new one.

There is no adjustment on this clutch as it is hydraulic and therefore is self adjusting.

Hope this helps. Please remember to rate my answer. Thanks.
