I have a Subaru Outback 2001. I forget my lights on and battery wend dead. I jack my battery and it start. But my radio and my dome lights wont work anymore. Actually the Stereo buttons are lighted but not the display. Maybe the battery is not charged enough?

Reset the system by removing both battery terminals Hold the positive and negative together for 30 seconds The. Reinstall both terminals The system will re learn for the next 10 miles or so If it happens again to the light We will have to try another approach Best of luck
I am a service advisor for Subaru, and one of two things happened. Either your headlights are still on and this causes the lights on the radio to become extremely dim during the day. The other issue is the radio itself. It is not uncommon for these radios to go bad. They should be covered under factory warranty. If yours is out raise hell with the dealer and see if you can get assistance. If the dealer wont cooperate, ask for customer dealer services number and raise hell with them. They will call the dealer and try to get help for you. Good luck
do you have a trailer hitch? if yes disconnect convertor box the light behind the dash should not be related bulb just out, also make sure bulbs you've changed are correct
I ve checked the fuses, The volume and other stereo buttons are lighted ,
