when you turn on ac system the front of the compressor should start turning if it does not turn check fuses to ac system if ok its probaly to low on charge to turn the system on.

did you try all 3 keys? You may be using the Valet key which will not open the glovebox.

those are not easy to come by at all. if youre looking for a repiar manual and willing to spend the money can be found on amazon and the ones you are looking for are from bentley publishers. those are the factory ones and can be found rather inexpensively(anything under $100). if you have specific questions i might be able to help. let me know. great cars!!

Let the head rule the heart...the S320 diesel. The engines are well built with only the exhaust feed-pipe from the exhaust manifold to the EGR valve needing to be occasionally cleaned out. The Mercedes diesels offer surprisingly good performance, longevity and excellent fuel economy. The S500 is sumptuous but at a cost; the expense is like standing under a shower tearing up bank notes.
