SOURCE: Bought my Hyundai 2004 XG350L with 10,000 dealer

It may just be a sensor failing, or even as simple as a loose gas cap. You need to get it scanned to see what the error is that the computer found. (Some auto parts stores will do this for free, but they don't give a lot of information. Try that, if no luck, try a good garage.)

I just got an oil change less than 3 weeks ago and today my engine starts knocking and my oil light is on, could that be a bad O2 sensor?

No Bad o2 But Check oil Level. How old Was The oil That Came Out? Fresh oil Will Clean Out Sludge Deposits If The oil Was'nt Changed In A Timely Manor It could Have caused leaks. also Check Drain Plug Gasket for leaks And Make Sure Oil Filter Is Correct And Tight.

I haves 2004 Pontiac grand prix I was told I had a busted head gasket, took it yo the shop they said I have a leak in my elbow and now my service engine light is on.

just check your oil if its milkey looking then coolent is getting in and more than likley its a head gasket, if not then check for water leeks on the engine block and heads not the hoses if none there check hoses if its in the elbo as they said i assume they mean the one where the thermastat is located those are 19.95 at advance auto, maby cheaper elswhere, easy to change and yes a leak can cause a check engine light to come on, easy way to check for a leak is to use a black light and yellow glasses can be bought at parts stores, the engine coolent will appear to glow and finding the leak may be easyer depending on its location

I HAVE A 2004 FORD F150 LARIAT AND HAVE TWO PROBLEMS. 1. THE ENGINE MAKES A TICKING NOISE WHEN IT IS RUNNING. IT SEEMS TO DO THIS COLD OR HOT. IT DOES NOT SEEM TO EFFECT HOW IT RUNS BUT IT IS ANNOYING....

the ticking could be a number of things, but with the oil problem you describe I would check the rocker assembly , either you or your mechanic needs to do a compression check on all cylinders , if you find one or 2 lower than the others, especially in a row,, ( next to each other) you could have valve , valve stem, or pushrod problems, Don't panic ,, thats not as serious as it sounds, the compression check will tell you the story ,

A week ago my 2003 CRV suddenly had the check engine light on, then stalled at stops on the way home. I took it to a Honda dealer who ran the codes. I was told the oil was low (1300 miles after the last...

THAT PARTICULAR CODE IS CAUSED BY A CATALYTIC CONVERTER DEFECT. YOUR OIL BEING LOW SOUNDS MORE LIKE IT COULD BUT MAY NOT POSSIBLY BE YOUR STALLING PROBLEM. IF THE CAT IS STARTING TO GET CLOGGED U WILL START TO GET STALLING MORE ON THE ACCELERATOR THEN OFF. YOUR BACKPRESSURE FROM THE ENGINE NEEDS TO BE CHECKED. THEY SHOULD HAVE NEVER LET U TAKE THE VEHICLE HOME WITHOUT FINDING THE SOURCE OF YOUR OIL LEAK. THE ONLY FLUID ON THIS EARTH THAT DISAPPEARS OVER TIME IS WATER. YOUR OIL IS GOING SOMEWHERE AND IT NEEDS TO BE FIXED. SORRY TO SAY BUT U HAVE MORE THAN ONE PROBLEM. THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER ISSUE NEEDS TO BE FIXED AND YOUR OIL LEAK FOUND. SOME OF THESE DEALERS ARE CROOKS. IF YOUR CAR IS STILL STALLING ALWAYS TRY TO GO BASIC FIRST SOME OF THE SIMPLEST THINGS COULD BE CAUSING YOUR STALLING.

What grade oil should I use for my 2004 hyundai xg350L? Also would it be better to use a synthetic blend?

5w30, drain all your oil and change filter before upgrading to full or a synthetic blend. Car runs better and longer before changes on full synth.

Service engine light on. Gas tank fills to 3/4 and clicks off. The model is XG350L 2004. The problem began about 2 months ago. It has been worked on once to replace a vacuum valve but still didn't fill up...

Did you have the fuel pump changed? They might of bent the electronic float assembly in the gas tank causing it to read 3/4 full.and making the check engine light come on.

2004 Chev Epica - oil light comes when car comes to a stop

the oil light is coming on due to sensed low engine oil pressure, this is not a level issue unless u are about 3 quarts low, oil pressure indicators don't leave any computer codes, so who ever told u that is wrong, u need to test the oil pressure with a mechanical gage when the oil light is on, until U need to confirm that u don't have a real pressure issue here or you can burn out the engine bearings, if the pressure checks ok then rplace the oil pressure light sending unit in the engine.

93 lincoln town car (cartier) check engine light

hi, oil leaking down into the spark plugs causing problems, in the 4.6 the plugs go way down from the top and can get full of oil, pull one boot plug up and out inspect one at a time to see how bad the oil leak is. it needs gaskets but should be okay to go back and forth once, needs valve cover gaskets now..jm
