Are the new tires rated for ice & snow? They are a softer compound & grip better in cold weather.

Hello,
One thing you can do is put a couple hundred pounds of weight as close to the rear wheels as possible inside your Ford.
The Expedition is a heavy unit so it takes a bit to get it rolling. Very easy on the gas pedal also helps. One person put it like this,
Think of your rig as a big ship, slow to gather speed , slow to stop.

I would advise to take it to a shop you trust and let them scan your vehicle for trouble codes. From there they can give you an idea as to why these messages appeared. : )

{: ) Your stabilitrak system may not work properly. The vehicle need to be scanned for trouble codes. In case you get a C0196 code, the recommendation is to reprogram the electronic brake control module. I hope that's the only cause.
If the system fails to turn on or activate, the StabiliTrak®
light along with one of the following messages will be
displayed on the Driver Information Center (DIC):
TRACTION CONTROL OFF, SERVICE TRACTION
CONTROL, SERVICE STABILITRAK. If you see these
conditions, turn the vehicle off, wait 15 seconds, and then
turn it back on again to reset the system. If any of these
messages still appear on the Driver Information Center
(DIC), your vehicle should be taken in for service.
