Remote Start on '93 Legacy Wagon Quit Working

I have a 1993 Subaru Legacy Wagon, and when I bought it from the girl that had it before me, it had a remote start key fob with it. The battery in the fob was dead, and I replaced it, but the car still won't start with the fob. Maybe there is a battery dead in the part on the car? Or a wire loose?

You will have to do a number of elctrical tests to determine signal is being recieved etc.All the tests can be done with a cheap testlight'/probe.Some of the recievers/activators have internat/external fuses. The first test should be to check that the reciever/activator has a good supply of power.try that first and let me know if you need more assistance

I have a 1991 Subaru legacy wagon 5 speed and a 1993 Subaru legacy wagon automatic I was wondering can I use the 1991 wagon for a full manual swap

Yes these cars are the same as far as parts go.
You will need to change some wiring on the automatic car for the manual swap to work without changing the wiring harness.

Tachometer on 93 subaru not working?

The most common reason for the failure of tachometer on 93 Subaru Legacy is related to the connection of ground wire. Ensure that the ground wire has not become faulty because of wear or corrosion. In case the wire is not functional, it will need to be replaced without which the tachometer circuit will not be complete.

93 subaru legacy starting problems

Probably a short or loose connection between battery and starter motor, or on either end of cables. Id look there before swapping out starter. On cold days you might put a heater under car for a few hours before using it,do this carefully as to avoid a car fire, or look into a block heater for your engine.
