on the paasenger side of the car under the dash. Remove the lower dash panel below the glove box and the module is in the duct for the heat to the far right side of the footwell.

I would check the starter and the alternator, also check the battery cables and connections nd check any circuit with a fuse of more than ten amps for a short to ground. Sounds like you might have some bad diodes in the alternator, though.
