Have you used fuel system cleaner in a while? Sometimes just dirty injectors can cause this. Also have you changed the air filter in the last year? Be sure to spray clean the throttle body when taking apart...These routine services can help wonders...as well as mileage:) Hope this helps. I like STP super concentrated in the black bottle...

After i ran out of gas?

Reset the computer & check the fuel PSI. You may want to replace the gas filter. when u run dry, the filter picks up all the dirt at the bottom of the tank. Make sure your gas PSI is good before u get into electronics. start w the basics. That would set that code too trying to start dry.Good luck

Have you actually checked fuel pressure, and the output of the coil ?
How good is the cap and rotor ?

Start up 1997 ford f150 4.6 liter runs rough and misses out,then oil gauge goes haywire. When it runs down then road after 10 minutes are so it then drives ok.

OK, if it is running rough, does the engine computer record any misfires on any specific cylinders? If so, then start changing parts in that area such as plug wires, plugs, and fuel inj. if this applies.

Replaced fuel pump, then car died on a hill after road trip

Try changing fuel filter. There could be one large one next to tank or inside frame rail.

I have a 1997 Cavalier thats a 2.2 and its running really rough.

sounds like it may have a bad ignition miss. check spark plugs, wires, and coil packs.

SOURCE: Idle Screw location on 1984 Ford F150 302...

it has a metal cap on it and has to be drilled out and ajusted by a licenced mechanic if your talking about the fuel mixture for the idel it's on the cabe near the body of the carburator.

Go to faxonautoliterature. They carry original dealer service manuals for all makes. THey show the original Ford service manual for your truck as well as a wiring and vacuum repair manual. Hope this helps.
