1998 Dodge Ram heater air flow not working

1998 Dodge Ram 1500 sometimes the heater comes on and then just shuts off unexpectedly, even though I didn't turn it off. What is wrong with it? I keep the knob turned on full blast all the time, but rarely does air flow out. There is just a slight amount of heat that regularly comes out, but you wouldn't notice it without putting your hand against it the heater.

check to see if your vents are connected correctly, if one of your vents are off, clogged or disconnected it will cause this problem. I had the same problem once and come to find out one of the connections were only half way on, corrected the problem and blew like a champ after that.

Without a code to work with i know those trucks had a problem with the t.p.s. sensor . This will also cause erratic shifting of the transmission

Radiators do not "go out". They leak or they don't... that's it. You wasted money changing a radiator if you aren't loosing coolant. The thermostat (~$10) is all you needed to change.

1998 dodge ram 1500 keeps blowing air conditioner fuse located inside the cab when a/c is turned on

This could be a few things all related to heater core. If fan is stuck or bearings bad if fluid from cooler is leaking or even clutch is going out on ac compressed it would cause this... hope this helps.

My heater isn't blowing hot air in a 98 Dodge ram 1500 quad cab. A/C works good and the heater only blows cool air. What could be the problem?

Your heater core is bad or the thremostat is stuck out. I would just get a new thremostat put in it 7 buck.

I start up my 1998 Dodge 1500 pick-up. It starts

The idle speed motors, sometimes the IAC or idle air control valve, gets extremely gummed up inside it's bore in the side of the throttle body and can not compensate for the need or for the loss of air flow after the gas peddle is released. It can be cleaned with some b-12 chemtool and some scotchbrite pad but just replacing it with a new o ring would be a lot faster. Be careful when removing the two hex screws because electrolisis sometimes builds up on the threads and may strip when backing out, just keep them lubed from behind.

Dodge Ram 1500...heater is blowing cold air, even though the engine temperature remains normal. I am able to get more heat from the defrost than the floor or vent settings. Help!

Take a flashlight and look up under dash from center console area, across to passenger side, for wiring harness, and/or hoses(small rubber) , they should lead you to it. Haven't had my head under one of those recently, and having a problem tracking you down a diagram for some reason, but it has to be there.
