A604 transmission lost reverse and only has 1st and 2nd gears.I'm able to drive half a block then rpm on motor goes high and no more gear engagement on transmission until i shut it off and then restart. I just replaced input and output sensors about 3 weeks before this problem occured due to transmission shudder and it fixed the problem and now this problem comes up.

you say the fluid looks good... that's great.
now next time your out drive for about ten good minuetes long enough for the transmission to get nice and warm and then pull over to nice level ground and with the vehicle in park check the fluid again. it's kind of hard to read because it always has a lot of bubbles on it and stuff. but it may be low on fluid.. good-luck ray

I had the same problem in my 1999 plymouth voyager. Changed both speed sensors it started shifting perfectly.. Now i get a little thump when downshifting from 2nd to first when stoping change the sensors there only about 20 dollars each its 2 of them on the front of transmission..

You will have to check the valve assembly- the part in your transmission that controls the gear shifting. In this model of transmission it's purely hydraulic so most likely one of the pressure release valves is stuck.
This is an very complex job that must be done only by an experienced mechanic. So either locate a repair shop specialized in transmissions or replace the entire transmission with a good second-hand one.
