When I put the turn signal lever in the right turn position, the left signal blinks. When I put it in the left position, the right signal blinks. Occasionally, nothing happens when put in either position. What could be causing this? There are no computer codes present. Thanks.
I dad the same problem and I replaced the multi function switch the does the wipers and the signals. After a while they wear out internally and the contacts become jared so they malfunction. I want to say the new dealer part only cost like $40 or so
Adjust your steering up /down as it may lossen the pinched wires or switch. had same problem but now it OK.
Your signals don't go through any computer (that is next year, HA,HA), either a connector is hooked up wrong (crossed) to the lights or the wires were worked on and not put back together correctly.
Do you have a trailer hitch? If you do, the problem may be in the wiring for your trailer lights. I use to work for u-haul and installed $75,000 worth of hitches in one year. the vehicle in your picture take a power module to work your trailer lights. this means a device that takes power from the battery to make your trailer lights work, if you hook up trailer lights to the existing vehicle wiring it will cause a lamp-out sensor failure. If you have this wiring check for normal operation with a test light. If you go to u-haul they probably will inspect your wiring for free. If the device was installed properly, it still can malfunction and probably will sooner or later due to condensation inside the power module. I replaced many of these while working for u-haul.
