1998 Honda civic check engine light keeps staying on. Checked codes at Autozone and this is what I got:p300 p0301 p302 p303 p304 (misfires) and p402. Took it to shop and they said distributer or catalytic converter. Someone else told me might be spark plugs, spark plug wires or fuel filter. Just had spark plugs and wires changed and light was on before and after. Both distributer and catalytic converter are very expensive...Any possibility of a cheaper fix. Help?
I don't think it is your catalytic converter because your light usually flashes and a bad cat I never heard of them causing a misfire. I ran your other code it is for a faulty EGR system. Exhaust gas recirculation excessive. You are getting too much exhaust gas back in the system. This will cause your misfire. Go-to a trusted mechanic and have them check out your EGR system.
