I think that if it stalls there's a problem with the iacv (idle air control valve) or equivalent. Look for codes stored in the obd-II computer using an obd-II scanner to retrieve codes and meanings.

First check the basics, oil, coolant , belts, hoses, then you may have to plug in an OBD II reader to find the code.

Go to an Autozone or local parts store. Have them run the OBD II check using their scanner (this is a free check!) Most likely its a O2 sensor that has gone bad (there are 2). Once the scan is complete they'll be able to identify the code.

There is not an OBD connection on this vehicle but there is a diagnostic port under the hood. It is usually mounted on a bracket on the engine.

Go to the nearest auto zone an ask to borrow the OBD-II diagnostic tool.
