It is the blower motor COVER or CASE. It houses the blower motor and is located in the engine compartment on the firewall or below the cowl on the passenger side. It supports the blower motor relay and covers the a/c core or what`s that called. It rotted out just below the accumulator mounting bracket and fumes enter the cab and the car is now impracticable to drive. The part at the dealers has been discontinued and the web proved useless. I have removed the cover and may be able to plug the rotted metal or some thing. If you know how to get a replacement part new or used anything but that freezing and hot cab I would appreciate it. Can you advise?
I would start calling around to the auto wreckers, if you can't find one locally alot of the auto wreckers are connected on-line and can fnd parts for almost any vehicle now a days.
I hope this helps and good luck.

( heater core) disconnect the cable from negative battery terminal, from engine compartment disconnect the temperature control cable from the temperature blend door and the mounting bracket from the top of the heater case. Disconnect wires from blower motor resistor and the blower motor. Drain the coolant from the radiator into some type of container. Disconnect the heater hoses from the heater core tubes on the engine side of the firewall. Now working in the passenger compartment, remove the nuts retaining the left end of the heater case and the right end of the plenum to the dash panel. Working in the engine compartment, remove the screw retaining the top center of the heater case to the dash panel. Remove the screws retaining the right end of the heater case to the dash panel and remove the heater case assembly from the car. Remove the screws, nuts and bolts retaining the heater housing plate to the heater case, then remove the heater housing plate. If so equipped, remove the screws attaching the heater core frame to the heater case and remove the frame. Remove the heater core and seal from the heater case.
Would be somewhere on the heater case, usually under dash, but some trucks have them in engine compartment on the heater case along the passenger firewall. 3 or 4 wires that go into a connector right on your heater case.

The blower motor is located behind the firewall in the engine compartment. You can access it by removing the plastic cover above the firewall beneath the windshield.Remove the screws securing the firewall. You now have access to the blower motor but it has to be separated from the evaporator housing. The complete list of instruction are too many to list here.Go to the website SAABNET and do a search on the bulletin board New Generation 900 section and post your question. You can print the instructions out.
It is located in the blower housing right at the very back of the engine compartment below the center of the windshield. You must remove the top cover of the blower housing to get at it.
