Just because the cruise and the horn are operative does not mean the clock spring is good check the clock spring there is most likly an open in the clock spring.

2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Horn doesn't work and the air bag compartment is flat. Thought clock spring but there are no fail indications on the dash and the cruise still works. Horn relay maybe?

Maybe. The fuse is a 15 amp fuse, #18 in the Power Distribution Center. Be advised there is also a Body Control Module in the wiring. A gray with orange stripe wire from the horn relay's coil side to the BCM and then to the clock spring and then to ground through the horn switch. This gray/orange wire should be hot at all times, both into and out of the BCM.

How to get to the horn swicth on steering wheel of 2000 pontiac sunfire

Pull the air bag module , don't recommend you do that ! Is the air bag light lit on the instrument cluster ? Horn not working an air bag light lit would indicate clock spring problem . Do you know what the clock spring is ?

Air bag light on constant, horn not working, cruise control not working...clock spring problem?

you need to have the codes read for the air bag to know for sure which direction to start ,but yes, they are all tied in to the clock spring.

Cruise control and horn do not work ??

Dodge has a recall on the clock spring. The clock spring is more than likely what is causing your problem. It is located in the steering column, and allows continuity to the horn, cruise, and air bag. The contacts in these loose contact and cause this problem. It will sometimes cause the air bag light to come on also, but not all the time. If your fuses are good then it will prob be this.

2000 Dodge Carivan - Air bag light comes on.

Air bag light on ? Have the vehicle checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's in the air bag control module . That's the way to find out what the problem is . Suggest you take it to a qualified repair shop.

1998 Grand Voyager horn not working, check fuse ok, relay never check.

You can check the clock spring. Remove the cover over the stealing wheel where the emergency flasher is. At the bottom there are two connector side by side. the small one on the left is for the Air Bag, the one on the right (6-7 pin connector) is for the horn and cruise control if you have one. Disconnect the right connector. Us a wire to gound out the pin in the lelft side of the 6-7 pin connector. If the horn sounds, then it is either the clock spring or the air bad itself that needs to be replaced. I would bet it is the clock spring.
