Well you could replace the sending unit inside the gas tank an see if that fixes the problem or you could replace the fuel gauge in the instrument cluster an see if that fixes the problem . Or you could have it check at a repair shop that has a professional type scan tool that can check the sending unit input to the PCM - engine computer , an check input to the instrument cluster from the PCM . That is a whole lot easier then replace parts to find out it did not fix the problem . Without the proper tools your limited as what you can do . With the fuel nozzle shutting off like that, the air in the tank is causing that , which means there is a problem with the Evap vent solenoid or wiring to the vent solenoid . you might have a leak in the rear suspension load leveler. check connections with soapy water. locate where sound is coming from. fuel pump in tank is a slight hum and not that noticable, but the air comp for load leveler is. Also spray around rubber boots on shocks, also check load leveler switch on axle to frame for broken or loose lever control.
You need to make sure all your wiring is good especially the terminals in the connectors.Check all the wiring from the front to the back where the connectors hook up.If you know someone with a scanner then you can usually do a sweep test on the gauge and it should show the level reading also.But not all scanners have this ability.If it shows the level reading on the scanner then this would eliminate the pcm.Because it is seeing the data.Throttle position has nothing to do with fuel level.Do you think you have a problem with the throttle position?
