• RRDR MDL Fuse (10 amp)
Left Rear Door Module and Right Rear Door Module logic and internal driver operation
Power Windows Operation
The vehicle is equipped with power windows controlled by the door modules. Each passenger door window can be operated, either from a switch built into the driver door switch assembly (DDSA), or from a switch mounted locally to its associated door. The driver door window can be operated only from the driver door window switch built into the DDSA.
When a window is operated from the DDSA, the DDSA interprets the window switch signal as a specific window switch request and sends the information to the driver door module (DDM) via the power door serial data circuit. The DDM examines the request and checks to see if it has received any class 2 serial data messages from any of the other vehicle modules (i.e. ignition switch position) prohibiting the movement of the window. If the window being operated is the driver door window, and if no prohibitive class 2 messages have been received, the DDM then applies voltage and ground to the driver door window motor to move the window glass as requested. If the window being operated is a passenger door window, and no prohibitive class 2 messages have been received, the DDM sends the request, via the power door serial data circuit, to the appropriate passenger door module. The passenger door module then applies voltage and ground to the passenger door window motor to move the window glass as requested.
When a passenger door window is operated from the power window switch mounted locally to its associated door, the passenger door module first checks to see if the DDM has received any prohibitive class 2 serial data messages. If there are no prohibitive messages, the passenger door module powers the associated passenger door window motor.
Both front door windows have the express down feature. This allows the front door windows to be fully opened by momentarily pulling the appropriate window switch lever to the second detente and then releasing.

Did you hook up a scan tool an check for DTC'S in the driver door module ?

DTC B3142, B3147, B3152, or B3157

The switch that failed and generated this diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is wired to either the driver door switch assembly (DDSA) or the passenger door module (PDM). The DDSA or the PDM includes the switch state in the message it sends to the driver door module (DDM) via the power door serial data circuit. The DDM sends the switch message to the rear integration module (RIM), which is the master of all lock operations, as a class 2 message. The RIM checks all conditions and if all conditions are correct, sends its OK to the DDM. When the OK message is received, the DDM sends the required signal to all other door modules via the power door serial data message system.

How do I remove a rear child window stop on a 2013 VW Passat?

Well, it is not just a child safety feature, if you notice your rear doors are designed to follow the curve of the rear wheel at the bottom. There is physically not enough room for the window to fit in the bottom of the door.

98 vw passat rear window wiper will not work and Cruise control will not work

A 16 year old car is bound to start having issues. If it's not a matter of locating and replacing a blown fuse - it could be a failed motor, switch or wiring problem.

What fuse amp and what fuse number go to 1998 vw passat v6 Into the cigarettes lighter and the one in the trunk All 12 volt spots

For 1998 VW Passat V6 the fuse box is located on the left side of dashboard behind a plastic cover (for left hand steering wheel vehicle). On inner face of the plastic cover you will find the fuse diagram.
The cigarette lighter fuse for 1998 VW Passat V6 is placed in the fuse box / relay plate fascia 1, (driver's door open). See pictures below:

Where is the reservoir for the rear window washer fluid in a 2000 VW Passat

there is only one resevoir and pump motor, used by the front and rears. When the rears are operated, the pumps polarity is reversed and the pump will pump through a different pipe to the rear.

The rear right hand side door will not unlock and cannot be opened from the inside or outside all other doord are operating properly. the car is a vw passat 02

My 1998 passat done the left rear and drivers side then all.Take out the drivers side lock barrel, open door and undo 1 torx screw until it stops(it cant be removed fully) and then pull the handle lightly half way and wiggle the barrel out.Spray wd40 onto the inner bits and try get it into the plastic slot area(operates the sensors that cause this problem) . Put back and tighten up and then do this to all doors.Lubricate all door lock catches by spraying wd40 into every hole or orfice you see and that should help.

Hi the deadlock appears to be stuck on my Passat 1998 saloon, ie the rear door will not open either manually or with the remote, how do I get it open?

im afraid there is no easy way , vw can try and carry out a final controlled diagnoses on the rear door latch, but if this does not work then you will have to remove the door panel and carry behind it and then try and break the latch off to release the door its not an easy job, i hope this helps
