  1. Remove all door inside handles.
  2. Remove the door inside locking rod knob.
  3. On styles with door pull handles, remove the screws inserted through the handle into the door panel.
  4. On styles with remote control mirror assemblies, remove the remote mirror escutcheon and disengage the end of the mirror control cable from the escutcheon.
  5. On styles equipped with switch cover plate in the door armrest, remove the screws securing the cover plate, then disconnect the switches and cigar lighter, if so equipped, from the harness connectors.
  6. Remove the remote control cover plates and remove the exposed screws securing the cover plate to the door inner panel.
  7. On styles with integral armrest, remove the screws inserted through the pull cup into the armrest hanger support. On some styles it may be necessary to remove the screws behind the armrest deflector or courtesy lamp remote control cover plate. On styles with armrest applied after the door trim installation, remove the armrest to door inner panel attaching screws.

  10. To remove the lower trim panel, remove the attaching screws along the upper edge of the lower trim panel. Then starting at a lower corner, insert a pry type tool between the door inner panel and the trim panel and disengage the retaining clips down both sides and across the bottom. On styles with courtesy lamps or reading lamps located in the trim panel, disconnect the wire harness at the lamp assembly.
  11. On styles with one piece trim panels, remove all the clips around the perimeter of the trim panel. Push the trim panel downward and outboard to disengage it from the door inner panel at the beltline. Disconnect any courtesy lamp wire harnesses, if so equipped and remove the trim panel from the door.
  12. Installation is the reverse of removal. On styles with adjustable trim supports at the beltline, the door trim panel can be adjusted in or out so as not to restrict door window operation.

There will be screws around the door pull and around door handle. Might be screws at bottom of panel. Use caution when removing door panel clips break easy.

How do I remove the handle in door panel? I'm trying to remove the door because my window fell off the track, it doesn't have power windows so I have to manually roll them up and down.

1- remove the window crank
2- remove any screws from the door panel; sometimes they are hidden by a plastic cap. look inside the elbow rest cavity; remove any screws you see.
3- insert a flat plastic or wooden tool in the shape of (roughly) a scraper, between the door panel and door and start prying the clips which hold the panel to the sheet metal. get as close to the clips as possible with the tool, as that will be the easiest way. there are about 8 of these clips on an average door. when all the clips have come loose of the sheet metal, lift the panel straight up to remove it. you will find a metal rod attached to the inside of your handle; unfasten it and remove the panel completely. that handle looks like it is part of the panel and cannot be removed separately.

How to take door panel of? window fell off of track i beleieve

there will be 2-4 screws you will need to unscrew. usually one located around inner door handle and 2 of more around arm rest and maybe some on the lower part of the door and panel. the screws are usually covered by plastic covers. you can remove these with a small flathead screw driver to find the screws. after all screw have been removed carefully pry the panel off with plastic pry bar to prevent scratching. it will literally "pop" off with clips. be careful, you dont have to use tons of force, check to make sure all screws have been removed. then the panel will hang there because its still connected to lights, switch, and door handle. remove these connectors and the panel will come right off. if the window fell off the track, it might be as simple as screwing it back on the window regulator. worse case the regulator linkage is cracked and you will need a new window regulator.

My driver side window fell out of place how do i get the door panel off to get to the window? i cant get the middle off its stuck on there pretty good help me please

Chances are you need to get a screw or two out still. If the panel seems like it wants off but the center is still stuck pretty good, it's probably because it's bolted down. Along with the clips you got loose all around the edge of the door panel, the armrest and door handles may be bolted to the door through the panel. These screws may be under plugs you have to remove first. You probably have power windows right? If not the clip behind the window regulator needs to be removed and the regulator pulled off. (Do this with window regulator removal tool or two flathead screwdrivers.) After all the screws are removed, clips popped out of door, and regulator removed (if equipped) you should be able to lift panel off. May need to lift panel over door locks or door handle to remove. Careful of wiring harnesses for electric locks and windows and speaker wires in door. Should be able to disconnect and reconnect easily.

If you damaged the clips upon removal no worries. You can go to your parts store and buy new ones to replace them so the panel goes back on nice and tight.

I hope this helps.

The inside door handle on the driver's side no longer works. I have to put the window down and open it from the outside. How involved is it to fix???

You need to remove the screws that hold the arm rest on also the cover for the release latch has screws that must be removed. Also there are push in pegs that must be pryed out with a small pry bar they are located all along the lower perimeter of the door panel, the bottom line is the door panel must be removed to access the door release lever the lever rod must be reattached and the clip replaced with a new one feel around at bottom of the inside of the door for the clip that fell of, the reason for this is you don't want to just reuse the clip you should take thwe old clip to a Napa in order to aquire a new one in order to ensure the repair is done correctly you don't want to have to be doing this job again.

Driver side window does not crank up straight

It sounds like the window may have slipped off it's guide rail or support rail. The window base connects to the motor via some bars that resemble a scissor lift.

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Pull back the weather seal and you'll be able to get to everything

How do remove drivers side door panel

First you need to remove the door handle and window crank by pushing back the ring and releasing the handles. Also the arm rest will have screws into the steel door frame that must be removed. The panel itself has plastic snaps that are pushed into holes in the doors steel frame. The trick is to slide a pry bar or even two is better, one on ether side of the clip and force the pin out. You need to be patent and do one at a time. The door panels are made of a less than hard strong material and will brake apart easily especially if they are older. The clips go all the way around the lower three sides and the top will lift off the sill.

Inside door handle doesn't work (removing the driver side panel)

If you have power windows start by disconnecting your negative battery cable. Then you need to locate and remove the screws that hold your door handles in place (they may be hidden by snap in, or snap on clips). Once you remove the screws that hold the door handles, remove any wire connectors to the handles, if they're not power you will need a small hook (kinda like a knitting needle) to remove the window crank. A manual window crank is held in place by a clip on the base. Slide the hook behind the base and remove the clip. The door panel itself, is held on by snap in clips, and you will need a small pry bar to pull them from the door (try to gat as close to, or directly under the clips to prevent them from tearing out of the door panel). Once the clips are removed from the door, pull the panel upward to remove it from the door.

Install in reverse.

I hope this helps you, and I wish you luck on your repair.

Passenger side doorwon't open from inside the car

What has happened is the poorly designed clip that holds the pull bar to the handle has snapped causing the bar to fall out. Take the interior panel off of the inside of the door, using 2 pairs of pliers twist the end of the bar around and simply insert it in the hole it fell out of, I have had to do this to all of my doors and, unless you slam the door really hard it will stay put.
