1991 xj6 4L Vanden Plas body parts

I have a 1991 Jag XJ6 4L Vanden Plas that I rarely drive and on one of those rare occasions someone decided to collide with my front end. The drivers side headlights, turn signal and side running lights are damaged, The right bumper mount is broken and the drivers side bumper mounts is bent. The bumper is fine, however the left front feneder is pushed back slightly impeding the drivers door from opening . I have a friend who has a 1993 XJ6 that was rear-ended. I have not seen the car and I would like to know if his parts are interchangeable with mine ?

Yes they are interchangible except the front spoiler is different, but everything else is the same. (the front lower spoiler on the 93 has built in fog lamps)
Pretty easy repair and I could only hope his car is the same color....

Radio,lights
check the illum. wire or the dimmer wire going to the deck. there is a wire that tell the deck when to illuminate brighter or dimmer so that it will work with the car lights.my guess is that wire is shorting or grounding out and when you turn the lights on thats when it shorts out and shuts off your deck. simple test - just unhook them and see if it works. then investigate the short if you wan the dimmer to work otherwise just cut them clean off and tape them up (so they dont short something else out) and forget about them.

1995 Jag XJ6 Rear Issues...need to fix ASAP.
My 1994 Vanden Plas makes the same noise. I know I need rear shocks. You do also!! Have the rear shocks replaced. Bilstein part number B46 1858 or Koni part  number 30 1377. Actually the Bilstein is the better shock and less expensive.
