Radio just not playing. Checked all fuse's (good) only fuse I did not check was in the radio it self. Anti-theft light still blinks. No display (digital) numbers showing. How do I remove radio to check fuse.
I pulled my radio to install a Serius receiver, and now it does not play. I have the anti-theft key code, but can't get the unit to ask for it. Is there a sequence of buttons to push to get it to ask for the code?

the radio anti theft comes into play when you disconnect the power supply for the radio. If you want to put it back into the vehicle you took it out of you will still have to enter the anti theft code to get it to work. The anti theft works for the radio and not the vehicles.
If it is a factory radio, you may need to enter an anti-theft code. If it is an aftermarket radio, they tend to pinch or fry wiring in the area around the dash, and it may be unrelated to the replacement of the alternator
there will be anti theft codes that you will have to put in to get the radios to work . If you do not have the code for the old one then it may be lost to you and the new one ( not second hand ) will have a code in the how to book ( owners manual)
IF YOU CHECKED FUSE THEN YOU HAVE A GROUND OR CONSTANT POWER WIRE MOVING OUT OF WIRE HARNESS BEHIND RADIO. MAKE SHURE ANTENNA IS PUSHED IN RADIO GOOD BECAUSE THATS PART OF THE GROUND.
Try to take the radio out and look at the fuse in the rear of the radio. You have 2 fuse locations one at your left knee and the other under the hood near the battery. Look in the owners manual for this fuse type, because some fuses work the same thing. Another thing could be that you have an anti-theft radio and it will not work with out you entering a code. The code is on the radio it-self or you have to contact the dealer with the vin number.......runjoe
