SOURCE: Mercedes Benz C180 Fault Message Brake Assist.Visit Workshop BAS

Hi there

BAS is the Brake Assist System and if there is a malfunction it would only come into play in an Emergency stop while applying full pressure. BAS applies full braking force because people tend to lighten up their pressure on the pedal in these situations. I would suggest that the best thing to do is go to a Workshop or Service Center and have it checked out. Please remember to put a good rating on my profile.

Kind regards
Dustin Ellse

SOURCE: My 2005 Mercedes E320 CDI is showing malfunction

It seems that the battery maybe losing it charge. Have the battery and alternator check. Alot of autoparts stores provide this as a free service ie.. autozone, o'reillys. Good Luck

SOURCE: 2004 E270 CDI Battery light visit workshop

I had the same problem in me 2004 cdi e270. Check the voltage going to the battery when the car engine is on. Stedy charge of 12v should be going in to the battery, if the voltage is volitale say between 11v to 14v then it your Regulator (which is attached to the backend of the alternator). You need to change alternator and then unplug all the batteries over night and re plug them back again. The problem should go away.

Ride height is high in the rear dash display says air matic visit workshop

Air matic rear control valve not working or faulty air matick control unit, you must go to the dealer workshop for diagnose, that's the easy and cheapest way otherwise you will spend money for unnecessary thighs, my advise is go to the dealer workshop.

My 2005 Mercedes E320 CDI is showing malfunction in red with a battery displayed and saying take to workshop. Car has been parked. However, it starts ok and battery doesn't seem too low.

The auxiliary battery needs to be replaced. It's a smaller battery than the one you have in your trunk. If you take it to your dealer to have it checked out it will run around $300 to change, and on top of it they charged me $50 to diagnose the problem.
