Very hard to tell for the untrained eye.but here goes, infrared is a solar film on the windshield (used mostly on high end bmw's). from the outside look at the perimeter of the windshield, the out side 2-3 inches, and see if you can see a difference in the glass. I know there is a black frit band around the edge, that's not it, but the infrared does not run into the black frit band and you can see the infrared end. also in the center by the rear view mirror is your rain sensor. a rain sensor cannot "see" through infrared therefore there is a missing patch or cut out for the rain sensor. again look for a difference in the glass (not the black frit band) I take it you are getting your windshield replaced. Infrared windshields are very expensive and not that common. You can replace a infrared with a regular windshield and vis versa no problem (just you won't have the infrared). stop in at your local glass shop and ask a tech to look and tell you if it is infrared. I have a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee and I can't get the rear lift glass to shut. The latch is functioning but it won't close all the way. What should I do now?

Hi, I'm Alejo Tambutto.
There are a few possible reasons why the rear lift glass on your 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee is not closing properly. Here are some steps you can take to fix the problem:

Check the glass switch: Make sure the glass switch is in the correct position and is not stuck. If it's stuck, try cleaning it with electrical contact cleaner.

Check the latch mechanism: Check the latch mechanism to make sure it is not obstructed or damaged. If there are obstructions, remove the objects and try to close the glass again. If the mechanism is damaged, it may need to be replaced.

Check Electrical Wires: Check the electrical wires that supply power to the rear window lift mechanism. If any of the wires are loose or damaged, it can cause problems closing the glass. If you find any problems with the cables, you may need to repair or replace them.

Seek Professional Help: If you are unable to identify the problem or are not comfortable doing the repairs yourself, it is best to seek the help of a professional mechanic. An experienced mechanic can diagnose the problem and offer a proper solution to repair the rear lift on your 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

It's important to address this issue as soon as possible, as a rear lift glass that won't close completely can be a safety risk to you and your passengers.

I hope it works for you, bye

How to fix rear defrost on a 2000 ford escort.

You can try several things. There is a special adhesive for attaching mirrors to the windshield and this may help you secure the clips to the rear glass. But the second chemical may be harder to locate and identify. The second chemical is a liquid that conducts electricity. Burglar alarm companies use this to connect strips on plate glass windows. I would not use heat on your connections.

Some rear windows are easy to remove and you could replace the whole window with a different one and be done with it.

- Keep the knob on RECIR and not FRESH.
- Put the air con ON, blower on max speed.
- Open the hood, inspect the inspection window glass located on the liquid line.

FS330 Filmscanner - will not light up, or start - no instructions

  • Autocome cdp pro supply correct information of your car problem

The scanner uses an LED, or Cold Cathode Lamp to light up the negatives. Two or three mirrors then reflect the image through different filters and lenses until it reaches the CCD (Charged Coupled Device). Some scanners, such as Canon's Canoscan, use infrared light so the connecting software can easily identify and remove dust before the negative is scanned onto the computer.

The Information is Collected
  • Finally, the CCD collects the information and converts it into electronic signals on the computer. The resulting scan is either a simple image ready to be edited, or it can be a slightly compressed image that the scanning software has enhanced.

I hear the motor running when i open the tailgate window but its not moving down at all

either the glass has become disconnected from the regulator, or the gearing or other friction drive for the movement is stripped. you are going to need to take it to a dealer or an autoglass shop and have the problem identified and fixed. since you will have to take it apart either way, i suggest having a new regulator on standby to put in and reassembled which keeps you from duplicating labor. most likely this will have some odd ball UK hardware that a glass shop will not have on hand, you may be better off in the long run to take it to a dealer and pay their labour cost. that is the beauty of driving European cars.

Can't remove bulb from light socket

You need to identify how it removes from the socket. The simplest way to do that is to buy new bulbs for the location (auto parts store, ask at the counter and they'll look it up). Then look at the replacement bulb. If it's rusted or stuck, you need to soak the plug with some lubricant or break free. Be careful not to break the glass or the socket when removing the bulb.

I have an 2002 sport trac with an power rear back window not work

Try a Glass shop. There should only be a motor and a switch. The glass shop should be able to get the window closed for you if it is open.
The power rear window is an option, so I do not know how easy it is to find parts in a salvage yard. It may not need anything big, could be an adjustment.
You can call for estimates once you identify the TRUE problem.
