I have a 2000 Kia Sportage Hard top; sometimes it just won't start. I've taken it to 2 mechanics who have both said there was nothing wrong wiht the car. Occassionally (average of once a week) everything will turn on as though it's about to start and then won't completely turn over. It sounds like a car when it needs to settle because you pumped the gas too many times but I don't have to pump the gas on it unless it's having a moment and wont start; and sometimes it wont even start then. Do you have any suggestions?

you need to remove clean and reattache all grounds with star washers so they dig in and fight corrosion

there is a splice for fuel injectors at the front of the fuel rail conduit and electric tape will need to be removed to see if it is ok then clean up all engine grounds and ecm grounds on passenger side kick panel if this doesnt help check coils and crank sensor

I had the same problem and in my case it was a short in the ignition. If I wiggled the key, the accessories came back on.

When you have this no start does the engine turn over normally but just not start up? Any trouble codes in the memory?
