Headlights on 1989 Nissan sunny

With ignition off passanger side works fine in both low and high beam driver side is very dim with no high beam.
With ignition on passanger side fails completely, driverside gains normal brightness but no high beam.
This is a sporadic problem, comes and goes

Hi check your bulbs first but the problem is a bad ground or a faulty connecter look at the drivers side first clean all the grounds and connectors yates210456

Check the ground with a test lamp.

All lights worked fine, out of nowhere, passenger side are very dim. When I put on high beams, the passenger side headlight goes out totally.

Sounds like you need to look for a bad ground for the passenger headlight.

It could be driving lights mode instead of low beam. Check connections.

The high beam continues to work on both sides...I pulled the Driverside headlamp fuse and then both left and right beams lit up but very dim.

I have a 2004 Blazer, I replaced the passenger headlight assembly and now the regular lights are dim and if I switch to high beams only the drivers side works why?

pinched/cut wire farther from the headlight socket.

May have also blown a fuse or damaged a relay.
