Go to walmart and get your pig tail plugs. they will plug directly into your truck harness. all you have to do is splice the connectors to the radio.

I am instaling a new cd/am-fm steior and need the digram from the factory

The best way to install an aftermarket radio is to buy a harness for it that way you don't have to cut the factory harness. When you do it this way the wires are all color coded and match so you just hook up wire for wire, then if you want to swap radios they will just plug in.

I need a radio wiring diagram for a 2003 ford windstar

Which diagrams do you need?...if it is to install an aftermarket deck, get an adapter so u dont cut into the factory wiring harness..the adapter plugs into the factory plug and allows u to solder the aftermarket radio wires to the other side of it.I have attached a link to where u can get the adapters...unfortunatly this wont allow me to send u my radio schematics that are in PDF format.

After Market Radio Installation

Hey man, you have an amplified system. use a 70-1858 wiring harness and jump the blue/white wire from the aftermarket radio to the pink wire on the second plug. this will power on the factory amp with the aftermarket radio.

How to connect aftermarket radio into 2002 toyota camry JBL radio (the standart wiring doesn't work). Thanks

Your aftermarket radio should have color-coded wires which identifies power, ground, speakers, etc. most depaetment stores carry a radio harness adapter kit. This will connect to your radio's exact color coded wires, and will plug right in to your factory's wiring plug. And don't forget electrical tape.

You can buy aftermarket plugs that will plug in to your harness and have the radio wires on the new plug. This keeps you from cutting your harness and reinstalling your factory , if you decide to.

your best bet is to buy a adapter harness (not expense) it plugs right into factory radio plug and then to aftermarket radio, all you need is the make and model of radio going in and year make and model of car and go to a car radio store.ALOT EASY THIS WAY, ALSO THE PLUG COMES W/DIAGRAM &LABELED WIRES.good luck hope this helps.

Wireing in car stereo accord 2006

good morning and welcome to fixya.

are you installing the factory radio or an aftermarket radio? you can purchase a wire harness for this vehicle that will plug into the factory chassis harness without cutting the harness connector. if your connector is missing the wires in the aftermarket harness are color coded the same as the wires on the factory side. check best buy or crutchfield.com those guys at crutchfield are really great. good luck and let me know if i can help anymore. thank you

Wiring difference

If your installing a stock radio/cd player from another Dodge the wiring plug is the same and will fit.If your installing a aftermarket radio/cd player(JVC,Pioneer, etc)you will need to buy a adapter plug that wires up to the radio and is a direct fit to your factory wire harness,so your not cutting your wires. When you buy the adapter plug it comes with a wire diagram of which wire is what.Your aftermarket radio should have a diagram also, either on it or in the manual.Hope this helps you.

Trying to figure out if i really need a special wiring harness for my 2005 gmc sierra 1500 i just got a new kenwood stereo to replace the factory one and have been told that i have to have a special...

HI there... It would be a wise idea to get the special wiring harness for you aftermarket radio. There are several reasons for this. 1 is that it will make your installation a lot easier because it will plug right in to the factory plug and all you have to do is wire the radio to the wires on the new plug.
2) the newer vehicles have the radios wired for lights when you turn your headlights on. aftermarket radios don't always have that. also your stock radio probably stays on when you turn your ignition off and goes off when you open a door. the aftermarket radio is not set up for this and could cause electrical problems if not hooked up. to avoid any nasty electrical headaches I would advise getting that special plug. Hope this helps you out

Wiring harness

you should never cut the wires on your factory harness... metra and other companys have harnesses that fit your car and would provide you with a correct wire color code you need to hook up a aftermarket stereo keep that in mind but i will post the wire diagram u are looking for
