If you are sure the trans is the source of the noise take it to a trans repair shop and have them drive the car, if it is the trans and you keep driving it you can cause more damage to the components of the transmission and dramatically increase the repair cost, have it checked ASAP.

My Explorer is demonstrating a high pitch noise and feels like the engine is racing with acceleration, but no check engines lights are on

I really need the year but here is what might be the cause, the engine cooling fan clutch may be defective, if it locks up you will hear a roaring noise that gets louder as the engine speed increases. Open The hood and rev up the engine does the fan make allot of noise, like an airplane propeller?

2002 camery roaring from front seems louder when slowing down. It is not brakes

check wheel bearing...transmission output shaft bearing. noise is louder because when bearing slow down, they get louder from worn down ball bearing inside the cage, space is developing between the ball bearing..caused by lack of lubricate, or just worn out bearings

Our 2001 Santa Fe has developed a roar. I thought

If your noise is a low pitch rumble that gets louder the faster you go, it likely is a wheel bearing that is the cause. Another sign that the noise is from a wheel bearing is if the noise tends to get louder when steering one direction at a steady speed, and quieter when steering the other direction. A transmission noise does not change with the steering.

NOISE IN THE FRONT LEFT WHEEL ON A 1999 SUBARU OUTBACK , BRAKES AND ROTOR HAS BEEN REPLACED

if the front brake pads, rotor and more importantly the caliper were all installed correctly, this noise is probably a front hub bearing that is failing. they will start a humming noise and then a roaring/growling noise the worse they get. is the noise rotational? by that it will get louder and higher in pitch as you increase the vehicle speed. get it checked out right away to avoid possible further damage.

"Humming" or "bearing" type noise in left front at highway speeds

That's a hub bearing. Replace the one that's doing it. I'm assuming this 'roar' is coming from the front, NOT the rear.
