I just recently bought a used 2004 Chevy Trailblazer. The battery was not holding charge so I took to Autozone and had alternator checked - they said it was fine. Then had a rare taillight replaced. Ran ok until I turned on the interior light for a couple minutes then wouldn't start again. Took it in and was told that the alternator was over charging. Alternator was replaced. Last night on my way home it was heistate at stop lights like it was going to stall. Turned everything off (radio, heater blower, etc) before turning off the car last night. This morning ran fine, no problem at all. Left the radio and heater blower on when I got to work this morning. When I went to lunch it was hestating again, actually did stall once. Any idea what the problem might be?
Low power lean conditions cracked air intake tube GM Testing by a qualified repair person with proper diagnostic tools is the way to a proper fix , not someone guessing !

I'm no mechanic but did you add any accessories to the truck.
Lights GPS System Sound system etc etc.
An stereo amplifier that would not shut off with the deck cause it's shorted would kill that battery every night.
I myself had added a set of driving lights and one of my Relays I had installed Jammed and it would do the exact same thing.. all day no problems.. but overnight wont start..
If I remember correctly you disconnect the negative from the battery and connect a Test light from the battery to the disconnect lead.. if the light turns on theres a load on the system.
yes you need to disconnect the light of the hood or push down on the switch to leave it off.
Hope this helps took me 2 weeks to find my dumb relay issue.
SOURCE: battery/alternator problems??
If you haven't got a multimeter to test battery voltage before starting & while running to see if charging, start it & disconnect battery cable & see if it quits running, if it does quit, I'd have alternator checked, if it doesn't quit, I'd say battery. Make sure to check belt too.

Hi and welcome to Fixya!
As a first course of action, I strongly suggest that you clean or replace the battery connectors if necessary. This may be the cause why the battery light is on.
Once the battery connectors are all set please tighten the cables.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Hi Traci, I have your fix for you. When you were at lunch and it was hesitating again, you had the defroster OR AC on right?
