No power from battery

When I went out to crank my truck, it wouldn't do anything. no lights, no sounds, nothing. I've checked both batteries and both are hot. I've also cleaned, checked and re-connected and tightened all battery connections. I've checked all the fuses I know to check, and still nothing. Any idea?

It was running and cranking normally when I parked it a couple days ago. I am getting power to the solenoid. But as I said, nothing works, just like there's no battery on it.

Was it ok when you parked it? all gauges normal? Did you check the main power to the solonoid? Check the power with a meter so you know you have proper voltage. Turn on the key and start tugging gently on the power cables. It sounds like a bad connection and you need look for green monsters (corrosion) on the connections.

started fine this morning but then later during the day had to get a jump didnt work so went and got another battery

Has it been working fine all this time? did you check the conections on the starter?Try a set of jumper cables from the battery to the power distribution box ,use both the neg and pos if it works then try it without the cables one at a time.

Look under hood in fuse box for a power relay.I know some of these fords have a power relay that controls all power to vehicle.

Starting problems

check the battery in the key as the engine immobiliser may not be able to read the unit and assumes that you are trying to steal the car. It will allow all that you have said but will not allow the cpu to allow ignition and spark

My 2007 dodge charger didn't crank so I jumped it

A battery from 07 is still decently new to be that bad, but I would check the alternator first, just get the car running and unhook the positive cable from the battery, if the car dies the alternator is bad.

Is the battery dead? Check your battery condition and connections. Check your starter fuse from there. Check the connection to the starter then progress to the ignition side of the concern

1993 nissan pick up won't start

Possibly a bad connection on the positive side coming from the battery or a weak ground. Check where the leads join the terminal clamps. Has the battery been verified as good? It doesn't take a lot of amps to run lights but it does to turn over the engine. Jump starting it does not require a fully charged battery.

Here is an idea. Check the connections between the battery and the car's ground and the starter. Then find the ground cable which connects the engine to the car and check the connections there as well. Often times odd ball electrical problems are caused by a faulty ground, especially when there is a starter issue. May help, costs nothing but a few moments of your time, and once in a dozen times it is the problem.

96 ford explorer no power no crank no anything

Sounds like a connection problem/error. When you replaced the starter solenoid, do you remember how many wires you disconnected and reconnected?

Was there any indication ( sparks, etc) of accidentally causing a short when you replaced the solenoid?

Your initial problem of no start but hearing the click sound is almost a sure fire indication that the starter is NG. If the solenoid clicks, that means that it is applying 12 volts to the starter.

hope this helps Good luck Loringh
