Hiya bonnie if you intend to DIY the brakes ? front pads? or rear shoes ? the front pads are easy enough for you to change in fact the pads/and calipers are virtually the same as ford and peugeot they are sliding type calipers that are held in position by 2x bolts that screw into the pins from rear of caliper when bolts removed the caliper pulls off reassembly is reverse after you push piston back the pads fit into the caliper carrier then refit/secure the caliper and pump brake pedal to take up the pads to discs B4 you move car then!bleed each brake a couple of pumps till fluid is clean the fluid that comes out first will be dirty due to heat absorbsion resulting in spongy pedal you will find pedal is more positive/hard when you bleedbrakes as i suggested brake fluid does absorb heat and moisture over time that is why it is recommended you bleed fluid to clear old fluid in lines nearest the cylinders hope this helps ? if you req further help come back will be glad to help best wishes from rochdale

Why 2009 Hyundai accent brake lights on with headlights, off without?

If all the brake lights come on ( including high mount ) with the headlights there is most likely a short somewhere. Have any of the park/brake light bulbs been changed recently. If so a bulb may be installed incorrectly or the wrong bulb application used.

Stepping on brake makes orange front lights come on and dims certain dashlights.

may want to check the brake pedal switch located on top of the brake pedal arm. If all fuses looks good, replace the brake pedal switch, which can also cause to not shift out of park.

Need to replace both brake lights

Hi, The 2007 Hyundai Accent is under a recall for the brake light switch since it has a tendency to fail. The brake light switch is high up on the brake pedal and it has a plunger on it. The plunger releases when you step on the brake pedal and retracts when you release the pedal. Recall Information can be found at: http://www.internetautoguide.com/10-12-2007-33-267/2007-hyundai-accent-recalls.html

Please remember to rate this solution. Thanks and Good Luck!

2007 Accent GS 5 sp Both brake lights suddenly stopped working...bulbs and fuses are OK

check for bad brakelight switch on the brake pedal under the dash, but on the brake pedal rod, will be a switch that has a pluger that pops out when you apply the brakes, check to see if it's plugged in. other than that, just replace the entire switch, yhey do go bad often enough.

The glass is installed using a strong verithane adhesive and is best left to a professional to prevent breaking the glass and leaking after installation.

Brake fluid

If you don,t know please ask a friendly mechanical type person to show , because you must put the right amount in. If you are losing brake fluid then you have a leak somewhere. Most lekly at the rear brake cylinder.
