Fuel System 2002 ram 1500 will not start.  Where do I check to ensure fuel pump is supplying fuel to the engine

make sure there is a good spark, then check fuel pressure and flow, if pressure is low check fuel pump and fuel regulator . fuel pressure must hold with engine stopped . if flow is low replace fuel filter.

I'm not sure you would smell a fuel leak from the tank while driving, the tank is located to the rear of the cab, under the bed on the driver's side, you may however have a leak in or near the engine compartment. If this is the case, yes a fire is possible. If you smell fuel when you come to a stop, it may be your fuel cannister, or vent lines are leaking which should trigger a check engine light.
While the engine is running, Check the fuel rails and schrader valves on both sides of the engine manifold for leaks. You can also turn the key to the "RUN" position (do not start the engine.) this will cycle the fuel pump to run for a few seconds to pressurize the fuel system, and you can then check for a fuel leak.

well p1200 is a fuel pump issue you should check your fuel pump but first change your coolant temp/sensor then if that dont work change your fuel pump,and before you change the fuel pump check the connections at the pump

Usually 2 things will cause an engine not to start. One it is not getting enough fuel. Check to see if the fuel filter is clogged. A bad fuel pump could cause a lack of fuel supply. Second item is lack of spark.

not to sure on model but could be injectors or the inbjector pump not fuel pump as this only send fuel to engine injector pump send fuel to injectors hope this helps

2002 Lincoln LS uses a saddle-type fuel tank consisting of 2 fuel pump modules. A fuel transfer pump in the left side of the fuel tank supplies fuel to the right half, which contains The Fuel Pump Module (FPM). The FPM contains the fuel level sensor and an inlet filter. The FPM is controlled by the Fuel Pump Driver Module (FPDM) which is integrated into the Rear Electronic Module (REM) Fuel pressure is regulated by a pulse-width modulator in the FPDM which cycles the fuel pump on and off at varying intervals depending on engine load and RPM. The FPM supplies fuel under pressure to the fuel injection system supply manifold and a fuel level signal to the fuel gauge on the instrument panel.
It is recommended that if one of the fuel pumps fail that BOTH pumps be replaced as a set to avoid repeat repairs. (If one pump has been running for 1500 hours and the motor is worn out, the other pump also has been running for 1500 hours and is very likely to fail shortly thereafter.)

Start with the simple and replace the fuel filter first. If it was the fuel pump, and being electric. It would have not restarted again if the pump has gone bad. The fuel filter should be replaced every 1,500 miles or once a year to ensure that your fuel system is running 100% and will not burn out your fuel pump early due to extra heat generated from working harder then is should. sounds like a fuel problem. listen near your fuel tank for the fuel pump buzz or whirring sound while someone turns on the the key. no sound no fuel no start. does not necessarily mean the fuel pump is bad, maybe just no power.
