SOURCE: clock, and dome light (2004 aveo)

If the fuse blows when you start the car their is a bare wire somewhere in the wiring system that is grounding out when power goes through the system. Thier is a possibility of it being something else that is on the same fuse. You will have to trace the wires to find out what and where it is exposed. Your switches should be tested also. The switch that turns the light on manually and the one located in the door jam itself that turns the light on when opening the door. You should bring your car to a mechanic who is qualified in electrical dianosis. I hope this helped you out. good luck..... It would be appreciatted if you could rate my answer. tThanks....MIKE-

Then 1, bulbs are burned out
OR 2, the wiring is faulty.

Testimonial: "thanx for the solution. took the car to a repair shop and was told that the wiring was faulty. had the car rewired."

SOURCE: can't find the fuse box under the driver's side dash on my 2000 suzuki grand vitara. my radio/clock not working and dome light does not come on when the driver's side door is opened.

Its below the Dashboard, on the left side of your knee. You have to use a torch & locate it from under the Dashboard, Its roughly near to the Clutch Pedal.
Here, it looks like this: (The Black one is the Fuse box) ba18901.jpg

Radio, clock and dome light not working

Had this before and i found a fault on the fuse board ,no supply the printed circuit maybe as i didnt go any further i just looped it from another fuse that had power via ignition switch through the radio fuse and it all worked but the fuse for the radio wasnt the one i looped as that had power for the memory it was another one that done the interior light and a thin bit of telephone wire done the trick so check all the fuses for power ,pull them out and check with a little 12v screwdriver light thing from the chinese shop ,right star trek is about to start goodnight

A 2003 Hyundai Elantra electrical problem. All dome lights and the radio and clock stopped working. When I turn on the headlights the dash lights work ok but when I lock the power door they go out and the...

Hi, behind your climate control panel is something called the Electronic Timing and Control Module (ETACM). This is like a computer for the chassis. All of the troubles you mention are tied into the ETACM. If you could find a used module at a salvage yard, it may solve your problems at a reasonable cost. To troubleshoot the problem will be very difficult and must be left to the dealer, which could be expensive. Just the same, I have included a few of the wiring diagrams in case you have a good multimeter and would like to try troubleshooting.

I jump start my wifes car at night with the cables backwards

I found that while checking my fuses that i had pulled out what looked like a black plastic "fuse puller" that was actually some kind of jumper. I had accidentally re-installed it reversed. I reversed it back to its original position and all lights, clock, radio, etc.. work normal now.
