Check your coil for cracks or signs of corrosion. If you instead have a distributor cap, do the same. If it all looks okay, start the vehicle and pop the hood. Get a water bottle or something to spray water with and start getting the wires and coil and distributor wet until the truck stalls. Make sure to do it slowly so you can tell what part you soaked that caused the truck to stall.

1992 gmc suburban has no power and bogs in cold weather

You need to perform an OBDII diagnostic test and look at the stored faults. Sounds like a temp sensor or Mass Airflow Sensor. Also dirty air filter needs to be changed every 40,000 miles. be sure to delete stored faults and recheck OBDII periodically for new faults.

If it is not starting and bogs down on the road, I would check the fuel pressure and replace the filter next.

I have a 95 sierra with 5.7 runs good cruising but when i push the accellerator down it wants to bog down. I have replaced the map sensor, tps, plugs, wires, rotor, cap, rebuilt the throttle pressure...

Have you replaced the fuel filter recently?

I would start there.
It is easy, inexpensive and often gets forgotten about.

If changing the filter doesn't help, you will know fuel flow is not the problem.

Testing your fuel pressure would be your next thing to check. But definately change the filter before that, as it may solve your bogging issue.

I have had your symptoms a few times in the past and cured them this way.

If this helps please let me know!

Good Luck!

My 19991 GMC Sierra 5.7 litre engine runs great when its cold but after 5 minutes it is very slow in accelerating . When I take off first thing in the morning I could easily smoke the tires but as soon as...

while motors warm up the computer supplies information so the motor works well. After it warms up the computer is guided by sensor information. It sounds like a sensor is going bad. Try to get a scanner reading which might show which sensor. The two main imputs to fuel are oxygen sensor and temperature sensor. Real common for O2 sensor to go bad.

Have an 01 GMC 1500 HD truck that has a metal to

Mine does also. told to try a genuine GM delco oil filter (haven't done that yet though) If it subsides after warmup, it is a sticky valve which I am told is too expensive to fix unless it just bothers you too much. Other than that, it's a GM thing and get use to it. :(

1993 Ford Explorer bogging down

This is not a bogging down problem if the engine is reving up it sounds like you have a very badley slipping tourk converter or you have a band in your tranny slipping and that is why you can go for a little while longer if you shut it off

next time it happens try spraying water in mist form around the throttle body if it bogs, replace the throttle body gasket. if it doesn't bog you may have a bad wire wait until dark start the vehicle have someone feed the fuel very slowly and watch for arching from a wire it will be easy to see when it is dark, replace that wire.

1995 GMC Sierra

Just a thought, have you checked yout TPS(throttle position sensor)? I had similar problems with my 89 GMC Jimmy 4.3l, however a code 44 is strange. Also check to see if your problems go away if you advance the timing a few degree's.

Hope this helps
