On two occasions in the last two months my Ford Focus has stalled and although it restarted, briefly, finally stopped & refused to start, resulting in AA call outs. The AA 'laptop' indicated a problem with the turbo and not being able to fix it the AA towed me to a garage. The second time the AA man said there was excessive oil in the turbo and on both occasions there had been heavy rainfall beforehand. On both occasions the garages (two different ones, one a Ford garage) attached their diagnostic equipment but were unable to find any faults, despite keeping the car and periodically checking it again over three days (costing me £265). Apart from this problem the car is perfect for me. Can you come up with any suggestions as I am seriously considering selling it because I am losing confidence driving it?
You dont say what diesel engine it is --is it a common rail diesel or a standard pump diesel ?need to know---think you have had your leg lifted mate if there is no codes why carnt they read actual data remember its not the standard of the equipment its the knowledge needed to use it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
