Originally no heat and over heating. changed thermostat and water pump. Flushed system add new coolant. working ok for 2days. Now has same problem.

not frequently,maybe once a month. if the coolant is going down "drasticly",and no visible signs of a leak,then you have a bad head gasket..

Find the big hose that comes out of the top of the radiator and follow
it to the engine and that is where the thermostat is located. My
advice is to be sure to get a factory thermostat and rubber gasket as
it makes installation much easier. I have done it both ways and the
factory one is easier to install.

take the thermostat out and heat it up in a pan of water to see if it will open when it gets hot.
you should see it open when it gets hot.use a cooking thermometer to watch the temp. it should open between 180 and 225 deg.
