Cannot set code for radio on Mercedes SLK 200 - can enter code but cannot find out how to secure it.

Radio recently disconnected when in garage for electronic repairs.

Yes the dealer have looked to the problem and he said he should take the car for 24 hours to fix the problem

If you call your merc dealer they should give it to you on the phone, if not have a look at this web site, if not, then if you take out the unit and let me know the s/no: i will see i have it.

Try disconnecting the battery fro a minute, reconnect and enter the code on the radio.

2005 mercedez benz 350 slk radio will not come on

Hi Gennea, If the battery runs flat and the radio looses its anti theft code it must be input again before the set can work. The code may be written into the user manual, if not you may have to visit an agent. Regards John

You need to contact Mercedes dealer and provide your VIN# for your security code for your radio, TIP: write it down in your glovebox w/a Sharpie

Radio code is specific for each and every car. It is specific like anti theft code.

You can get it by providing your VIN# and registration details in authorized dealership. Nobody else can provide you. If anybody can provide you that , then there is no meaning of security for your car.

The radio will have to be removed from the dashboard.

Then post the radio make+model plus all the letters+numbers on any labels,barcodes or engraved in the metal casing.

The only way is to call the dealer with you VIN. Once you have that be sure to write it down somewhere other than on the radio(it's been done). They can also give you the procedure. If they give you any grief about this, let me know.

RADIO CODE

go to Mercedes dealer give them your VIN, ask them to look on the VMI for the radio code. If the radio is original, that code will unlock the radio. If it has been replaced or the code does not work you willhave to pull out the radio and give the dealer the serial number to get the correct code.
