When you start guessing as to what the problem is , that's when you should take it to a qualified repair shop. You start replacing parts that doesn't fix the problem . The flasher problem is the multi-function switch .
Is the security light lit on the instrument cluster ? The stalling problem more then likely is a IAC - idle air control valve problem , dirty throttle plate an bore , EGR valve sticking open a little . Your best bet , take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop.

SOURCE: 2000 Alero Security light flashing and wont start

With the new lock cylinder in it, turn the key on. The security light should blink. Leave the key on for 10 minutes, the security light will quit blinking and go out after 10 min. This will reprogram your security system and the car should start. Also leave a battery charger on it while the key is on, If the battery goes dead during the 10 minute reprogram sequence, you will have to start over again.

SOURCE: 1999 olds alero stall whe you take your foot off

hard start is AM is most commonly caused by a defective fuel pump pressure check valve, the other stall is issue is covered by the following procedure.
Here are some of the causes of surges, stalls at stops, slow idle speed, erratic idle speed, rough idle and engine hesitation (and other problems), it is in most cases the idle speed control air-bypass valve and or throttle valve and upper intake, these area's get full of gunk and combustion residue over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.

SOURCE: 2003 OLDS ALERO WONT START

Check to make sure the Security light in dash on right hand corner is not on. If it is on , your passlock is enabled. to dissable it turn your key on but not start it and wait for apx 10-15 minutes. this should re-set it.

SOURCE: Signal lights are intermittent, once

Its located behind the hazard button to the right of the speedo cluster. If you have a clicking noise as if your turn signal was on or hazard buttons pressed. Its not your flasher problem. I had to tear apart half the dash and found out that was not problem. Its the turn signal/ wiper switch located on top the steering column. Its very easy to change. The top piece above the turn lever and wiper lever just snaps out. One torx screw holds it in. Unscrew then lift up there are a few wire plugs in the back. Lift up on the wire tabs and pull plugs out. Reverse order to replace with new part that I bought from Napa auto parts for around $150. You can do this if you have very novice skills and 1 torx bit tool. If can help in any other way, just let me know and good luck.....YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

Where is oil filter on a 2003 alero oldsmobile

I guess Your talking about the 4 cyl 2.2 eng? The filter is in the front center of the Eng, under a Black cover that has a Hex top for a Metric wrench, the size of the wrench? I forgot, hey I'm old!. Clean the area around it with an arisol spray like Brake Clean. Just unscrew it and pull the filter out and replace it with a new one, wet the seal around the top with new oil. done

Beeping Noise/Blinker Noise

sounds like your electronic flasher unit maybe stuck causing the noise. they are generally located under the dash on driver side just below the instrument cluster.
