Ok, these horns are placed so that they get as much moisture and slop into them as possible. There are actually 3 horns, each with a different tone. The first place to start is the fuses. They are to the left of the steering wheel. There is a fuse labeled horn. Check this, and replace with the same amp fuse. If this does not help, the next option is to check the connection to the horn itself. The horn is located in front of the driver's side front wheel, near the bumper. You may need to drive the car up on ramps to get access. There should be one wire per horn. These wires can corode. Remove each connection, and with sand paper or a green scrub pad, scrub the tab that the wire came off of and reconnect. If the horn still doesn't work, get anelectrical

Horn is out on a 2003 Mitsubishi Montero limited. What parts needed to fix it?

check horn relay works
get a 12v probe and test the horn switch works when pressed
12v should be supplied to the horn relay coil contact when the horn switch is pushed on.
Also check the fuse.
Check voltage going to horn when pressed
horn might be negatively switched so 12v positive is on one side of horn and relay switches ground negative .
You will find the horn relay under the bonnet in a relay compartment most likely

Ignition was not working the key wont go in,after it was fixed the horn wont work what could be the problem?

horn fuse is blown, locate fuse box, sometimes there are 2 , one in car and 1 under hood, engine compartment.
use your cars manual to see horn fuse and replace with same fuse.
If the fuse is burned out, replace it. Try the horn again. Check your car owner's manual for the location and type of fuse. Check whether there is any debris obstructing the horn button on your steering wheel that may be preventing the horn from sounding

How do I fix a horn that will not work

The sound that comes out is simply the last thing in a chain of events, and all the links have to work. To troubleshoot, start at the first step. Does the horn button make a circuit?\
Next, check in the fuse box. There should be a horn relay. Does it click when somebody presses the horn button?
Now, check the actual horn. Does it get power when the relay clicks? If all of the steps check out ok, then replace the horn. If they don't, then fix the thing that's not working and re-test.

How to fix the horn. or rewire a horn. the previous owner stated that he took out the fuse for the horn because it would not stop beeping . I need the horn to work to pass safety

Hi,
Apparently the previous circuit of horn is shorted making work all time.
Just check entire wires, relay and horn button in your car for shorted and have them fixed.
Otherwise you need to install new set of horn system ( horn button, wires and relay)
