I have a 1998 honda accord. My problem is that the rear reading lights don't work. I tested the bulbs; they're fine. The fuse is obviously fine since the other interior lights work fine. Since both of the rear reading lights are not working, I don't think the problem is with the switch. Please help.
I tried that but still the lights don't work. I think the problem is with the wiring. Ijust don't know where to look. Do you know where I can have a wiring diagram for my car (1998 Honda Accord)?

My problem is with the reading lights, the ones above the rear seat inside the car. I think you were talking about the rear lights at the back of the car.

I just had the same thing happen to my 1998 Honda Accord. Mine ended up being a 39.00 break sensor that I got a Advanced Auto parts. I would try that and if it doesn't work take it back. This is something that you can do in the parking lot.
Good luck!
Try getting some dielectric grease from the store and putting that on the bulb connections. I have done this many times before to fix bad light connections on vehicles. Hope this helps, good luck!

This is the best order to diagnose your problem with. not sure how electricly savy you are but my first test would be to check for voltage at the bulb. Get yourself a voltmeter, a test light might work but a volt meter can give you the exact reading. unplug the harness from the bulb or vise versa, have someone hold the brake down, stick your diodes into the terminals of the harness and get your reading. if no voltage pull some fuses... still nothin, my moneys on the wires...
check if the turn signels work. check the brake petal switch underneath the brake petal-also check the operation of the emergency flashers for operation. all of these items are related.
1990 Honda Accord tail lights are not working.I have checked all the fuses and the bulbs.Everything is good.Front headlights are working, same with the signal lights.what do I need to check next.
