Water Leak When I wash my car I get a few drips of water from under the dash board on the drivers side. It will put a drop or two on the the kick panel by the hood release. If I put my fingers under the dash it is wet. I have sealed up under the windshield trim at the bottom where the hood hinge connects near the cowell and in and around there. I am wondering if there is a way for water to get in where the roof molding strakes fit in. The windshield was replaced a number of years ago but I only noticed the leak in the past few months

Ok I will try that. I wonder if you know if there is any way for the water to get in under those snap in molding strips on the roof ?

My suggetion is if the windsheild was replaced the water is getting under the molding through the top or top side of windshield and traveling down the channel under the molding to get into ur car one way to check this is take real soapy water and just pour it along the the top annd side of windsheild on side that is leaking .. see if that is the substance getting in .....

depends on the type of sealer was used to reseal the windshield thier are many different types out thier if it was done by a professional that replaces windshieds and u remeber who ask them if thier is a warrnty the one i use for my shop has a good warrnty ... if was installed and used a sealer from a parts store most likely the sealer has dried and not being affetive any more ... the water runs under the molding and can seam through the smallest area it can get through then come inside of car where windshield and dash meets

I NEED A DIAGRAM OR PICTURE OF THE AC DRAIN TUBE

I had the same water leak issue with my 2005 uplander LT. I seal around the drain tube with RTV and I actually put a flexible plastic tube on the drain at the firewall to make sure water wasn't coming in. Although this is a known common problem. It did not fix my water leak. What I found is the body seam weld at the driver's side kick panel down by the parking brake pedal was leaking. Pull the carpet back and have someone spray the windshield with a water hose and look for leaks in this area. I had to loosen the driver's side fender to pull it away enough so that I could RTV (sealant) all of the seams in that area. I have not had a water problem since.

Water in the passenger floor board of my 2005 chevy cobalt

check your heater coil under the dash on passanger side for leak at joint areas. it could be condensation from the AC condencer dripping down the line that goes into the firewall, if so seal that area with a good sylicone.

Water on Drivers side Saturn SC2

Is it antifreeeze from heater core or heater core hose leak?  Is the leak pure water, or maybe something else?
Put it in the garage again overnight with an old white towel in the drivers foot well, best if you can find a way to stretch it from drivers seat forwar to firewall and keep it off of floor mat.  Check it before you go to bed,  then in the morning if no leak found yet.  see if the color/location of the spot helps you identify the source.  I think the heater core is under the dash center.  Anti freeze is green/yellow or orange.
good luck

Leak at Driver's Side Door (dripping slowly)

Body leaks are very, very hard to pin point, mechanics usually want to go home when they ge one, but here is the way we track them down, if you feel the leak is from under the put a sprinkler hear under the car and turn it all full blast get inside and try to see where the leak is coming from, if the leak is from up top area then do the same thing, let the sprinkler rain on the car, as much water as possible, once you do find the leak get some body caulking or a can of spray under-seal and spray the leaking area, it is most likely a welded seem that is leaking. GOOD LUCK.
