2005 kia sedona dash board gauge lights wont turn on

Is it only the gauges or the all the instruments and heater controls? The first place I'd look at will be the dimmer switch. Normally the instrument lighting shares the same circuit as the parking/valet lights.

2006 kia sedona today the heat and a/c just stopped working. There was no loud noise or anything to signal it was breaking. No fan comes on, no compressor kicks in, the lights on the dash don't

Check fuses end relays. Fuse could be blowin. If the lights don,t come on on the heater control panel for the different funtions, Mostly the fuse has (Blowin)

All the gauges in the car does not work including the digital odometer, but the dash lights work along with everything else on the van. wat is the problem?

It is likely that it's the main wire connector pins on the instrument cluster circuit board. By re-flowing the solder on the 13 pins, you will probably resolve the problems. This is even more likely to be the problem if there has been erratic dash board, gauge, idiot light behaviour. Let me know if you need instructions on how to remove the instrument cluster to re-solder the 13 pins. It actually doesn't take too long.

GAGES GOES HAY WIRE WHEN DRIVING. MY RADIO TURNS ITSELF OFF AND ON. DASH BOARD LIGHT FLICKER ON AND OFF. LIGHTS ARE DIM AT TIMES. DOES NOT WANT TO START ONCE VEHCILE IS NOT RUNNING. HAD IT TESTED, IS NOT...

This sounds like the X-files "electrical gremlin" that these vans are infamous for. I'd start with the wiring harness connector pins on the back of the instrument cluster. Earlier versions of this van have had copious problems traced back to this issue. Just re-solder the pins on the circuit board (my 98 Voyager has 13 of them) and this may solve the problem. If not, then there is likely some other electrical connection issue somewhere along the wiring harness. Others have traced the problem to the connectors on the heater and A/C controls on the middle dash panel. I suspect similar problems on my own van are likely located in the block connectors under the dash, or possibly old/worn/brittle wires somewhere in the engine compartment. Just spend a few hours tracing wires from your dash and making sure all connections are tested, secure, and functioning. This can be time consuming, but it might be the only way to avoid excessive/prohibitive mechanic rates! (I'll be diving into my own van's wiring tonight - while the weather is still warm)

Battery drain on 04 Sedona

It may be expensive to have someone fix. Electrical gremlins can be a pain to find. If you could locate the issue then it might not cost as much to get fixed. Start by looking at all the wiring you can for any rubbing or bare wires. Something is grounding and draining the battery. I've seen a wiring harness rub a bracket on the back of an engine until it shorted, causing all sorts of issues on a civic.
