SOURCE: Oil Pan Gasket Replacement - How to - GMC Yukon 2000

No big job Really. Just locate your Drain Plug for the Oil. Thepan is right there, Remove the Bolts around the Pan and Remove. You will lose all of your oil so, Have something there to catch it all. Clean it all around the Edges of the Block where the Pan mounts with Degreaser and Make sure that you Scrape the Old Gasket off of Both the Block and the Pan. Run a Thin Bead of Blue ATV Silicone around the Pan Edge, Lay the Gasket on top of this Silicone. Put another Thin line on top of the Gasket and Reinstall. This Silicone is High Temp Silicone and will Seal Very Well. Make sure to put oil Back in the Motor! Please Rate my Response, I need all the Help That I can Get! Thanks!

2001 honda passport front driver side door hinge is popping loudly when opening and closing, how do I repair it

You need to go to the nearest auto parts store like O'reilly and tell them you need a new door hinge pin for your car. The pin comes with llittle nit looking pieces. It is simple to put on but it will take time. But put the little pieces on top of the holes for the pin then slide the pin through the nuts and the problem should cease to exist.

Need to replace front door hinges (not just the pins). How are they attached?

they are attached with a silicone glue. Cut off with a razor knife. Then gently pull down on the door. They will pop loose.

the door problem sounds like the door pins and bushings are worn out. this should be fixed asap because if it is let go the pin will cut into the hinge itself and then they may also need replaced. hope this helps!

I need to replace the hinge pins in my 2000 yukon suv. I have a kit from NAPA, but I need some pointers on how to get the old pins out and install the new ones.

The pins are pressed in. The door must be opened and setting on a platform to rest on for security. The pins hold the door on your truck you know. You may have a coiled spring on one hinge. If so purchase a spring compressor at Auto Zone auto parts or any auto parts store. Have a center punch to hammer out the pins. I would remove one pin and replace it then go to the next one. The upper will have the most wear from the weight hanging from the door. Do both pins of couse to save the door lock from malfunctiong later. A sagging door will ruin a door latch in time

How can i take off a 95 gmc yukon passenger door? what tools would i need?

If it's the left front door, the hinges are welded. There is a pin that goes in the hinge. You'll have to get a long punch and a hammer to drive the pins out. If you have a relatively long 3/8 socket, you can invert it so it fits over the top of the pin to get it started. Then as the head becomes visible, you can lock a pair of vice grips on the pin and tap it out. Sometimes a pry bar is enough to finish the job. There may be a special tool to get the pins out, but I haven't seen it.

Hammer
Long punch
Vice Grips
Long 3/8 extension
Pry Bar

Patience

Hope that helped. Thanks for using FixYa.

Door hinges are noisy?

sounds to me like the hinge pins are worn out. These could probably be driven out with a drift and replaced with new.
