I was driving and then lost power. The car just cut off. The dome light still works, the power locks, windows, ignition beep and heater are still working as well. But when I turn the key, nothing happens. The radio doesn't some on and no sound comes from the stater or engine. It's like flipping on a light switch without the power turned on. Does anyone know what could cause this issue?

recheck connections under dash where you disconnected things to replace column. did the replacement one have the same wiring connectors as the old one.

Sounds like the vehicle is not charging you may need a new alternator get the car going with jump leads again and test the voltage at the battery terminals with a DC volt meter expect 13.5-14.5 if you get less than 13.5 your alternator is bad or wiring fault also check the alternator belt is tight.

Look under the hood fuse no. 12 should be for power windows. Or maybe something like a bad ground wire in drivers door harness.

Sounds like the motor speed control is going bad (resistors near the motor) or the motor itself is going bad, maybe bearing in it. Check the resistor control to see if it appears to be melted any.

Did you have the vehicle's control module system checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's ??????? Specifically the SJB - smart junction box , ford's BCM - body control module . Does the remote start/keyless entry still work ? Adding after maket system's to vehicle's (even your year ) isn't all ways a good ideal . It can cause major problems ! Having a qualified professional automotive technician check it out would be a good idea. Who installed these aftermarket systems ? Some of these place's have no idea what they are hooking to , any old place they can find B+ power .

possible bcm you have a on board computer that tells you when doors are open lights are on also after turning key off you can listen to radio or open close windows for a limit of time then the bcm cuts off the power to everything if you are not sure check with dealer if they have problems with bcms body control module

check on driver side kicker panel be sure you put all grounds to gether there
