Turned on this morning message in dash said air bag fault and amber warning lamp will not go out any ideas or do you know where control unit is fixed
SOURCE: Air Bag warning light is lit
it means the air bags are inoperative, maybe a fuse or an open circuit, best to have someone with electrical knowledge look at it

SOURCE: air bag fault
In my opinion there might be a problem of wiring after changing the indicator console as there is connection problem of air bag in steering wheel. If there is a loose connection for any air bag the light goes on. You have to recheck the wiring and any loose connection for your air bag of steering wheel. But be sure to disconnect the battery terminals before you try to find out any fault in this area.
SOURCE: where is the front side air bag sensor on a skoda
I assume you mean the impact sensor for the front side airbag? ....inside door void...if you are having problems with this sensor, it will most likely be the wiring / plug between door and "A" pillar
