My 2000 hyundai tiburon alarmed itself and the alarm is sounding. I have no remote control that works.

I went to my garage and found my car doors locked which I had not done.. Unlocked them and alarm sounded. My remote quit working two yrs ago, doesn't even have battery in it. I had to disconnect battery cable to kill alarm. There is no valet switch so how do I deactivate alarm so I can use car?

Put key in ignition, turn all the way forward, but not trying to start. Let alarm cycle 2 times, when it stops the 2nd time, remove key and alarm should be disarmed. This will only work if it is a factory alarm.

I belive all you have to do is put the key in the ignition and turn it counter clockwise. Hopefully that works for you.

SOURCE: 2000 Hyundai Tiburon will not start

There is NO possible electrical cause (within REASON) which would create the problem you describe. I assume you tried the Keyless Entry Remote to DIS-ARM the anti-theft system. If the ALARM system was activated, it will stay activated until it's de-activated by the remote (typical design feature). The best SOLUTION is to take vehicle into Hyundai an have the problem diagnosed.

ok open the car door an put the key in the ignition turn to the on (dont turn the car on but turn the key to where your radio an dash lights come on) an leave there for 1 min and then your car will disarm the alarm then you will be able to start your car after you have done that.

I went to open my car door with my key and the alarm starting going off, I have never used the remote on my keys. Now the alarm wont go off and I can not start my car. What do I do?

Close the door and use your remote to lock, then unlock the doors this will reset your security system. If this does not work, the most likely cause of your problem is a very low battery or poor battery cable connections. (Computers do all kinds of wierd things when they are suffering from mal-nutrition!)

My keyless entry does not work so i unlocked the door with the key and the alarm went off how do i fix it?

First change the battery in the remote first. Then try the following even if the alarm is still sounding.

1. Get in the car and close the door.
2. Turn the key to the ACC position

3. Push the unlock button on the remote until the blinkers flash once.
4. Get out of the car and test the remote. It should be working fine. ( I actually was able to test it while in the car)

With alarm activated your ignition is disabled.Find the combination to disable it.With GM's you hold opposing buttons on the fob till it beeps twice. The dealer should help for no charge.

you should be able to do this on the driver door key lock by turning to open position holding it there for a second then turning it oposite direction.

Remote door transmiter won't unlock doors. open doors with key and alarm goes off. is there a way to turn off alarm without transmiter?

sounds like either your battery is dead in the remote or it "lost its memory". We've had them in the shop before where all we do it reprogram them and they work again.

01 tiburon, alarm reset? wont start

I had the same problem because I store my car in the garage in the winter. I found that replacing the positive/negative cables with new ones and also if you still have your spare key, try putting one key in the ignition and turn to acc before turning it over click your alarm button on your spare set of keys and the alarm should reset itself and the car should start. i hope this helps you, i just finished changing my spark plug wires because I had a code P302 which made my 2nd cylinder misfire, so if your tiburon is around 180,000 km then you should change it too, I recommend Bosch they are the best.
take care
