Will a 1985 ford f150 alternator fit my 1981 ford bronco?

My F250 was a 74 and it just had a bosh on it, really doesn't matter as long as it fits and has the right amps you can use any make cya Neil

In general, the Ford Bronco running gear is identical to an F150 4X4 running gear for the same year. The only difference is the length of the rear drive shaft. I doubt the F250 gear will fit, since typically the F150 running gear is made by ford, and the F250 running gear comes from commercially available parts (Dana, etc).

ask a local mechanic to check it out sounds like the alternator isnt connected correctly .

you might find the diagram inside the fuse box cover .....hope this helps.....cheers

F-150 should fit just fine. I know 250's do not.

it would maybe fit but the alternator from an 1981 ford anything wouldnt provide enough amperage for the fuel injection system on the 1991 f150...

Most likely the alternator is going out. check the voltage with a meter it should read about 14v
or take it to a shop and ask them to check it
