This is not a task for the feint hearted and could require a major strip of the dashboard. Go to BMW forums and see if you get an idea of what's involved on that model. Anything with AC as well is usually a bit of a nightmare. If you get it done make sure you flush through and fill full antifreeze quantity to safeguard new heater.

Some heater cores come in a plastic case. If yours does, you have to remove it as a set. Disconnect hoses from inside the engine compartment and remove all hardware that holds it in place. Once free to remove, careful not to spill antifreeze inside your car.

Potential causes: Low coolant- fix by adding coolant Thermostat stuck closed- would also cause engine to overheat Thermostat stuck open- would eventually blow at least luke warm air Heater core plugged- Get it backflushed or replace it These are the most common causes

Removal instructions for heater core

First disconnect steering knucke under dash. Remove dash assembly to reveal heater/AC case. Disconnect heater hoses from engine compartment. Discharge and capture AC refrigerant. Remove heater case ,replace heater core . re-assemble .

I need to know the location of bmw 325i 2002 were heater not work

Its usually directly on the speed selector know or mounted to the heater plenum behind the glove box (this is the prinicple for american cars sonot sure if foreign makers follow the same principle) its about 2"x2". Very small and looks like a microchip with a circuit and wiring in it...
