this could be as simple as a bad battery have you tryed to jump start it? if you try and that dosent work make sure you have power going to the starter with jumper cables on the battery. it should at the very least make a clicking sound while trying to start it check the battery posts also make sure they are clean and if it does click give it a minute and try starting it again.[ dont take the cables off the battery while waiting] the fact the starter doesent even click when you try to start it tells me no power to it or bad starter remember just because its new dosent mean it works i cant tell you how many times i have put somethig on a car and had to take it back off because it didnt work from the boxx new. and make sure the starter wires are tight and clean. if no clicking and you have power to starter then starter is bad.. i hope this helps..

probably the crank sensor, above the starter on the firewall side-no crank signal, no fuel pump activation.

I had a Grand Prix one time (basically the same car) that had a problem with the fuel pump harness. This harness plugs into the top of the fuel pump as you know, and into the floorboard underneath the car. Check the floorboard end for corrosion or broken wires.

without physically looking at this it is hard to say but best thing i can suggest is that the fuel relay is bad this is a fuse located usually under the hood and will be marked on diagram

Thank you all for the suggestions. Turns out I had a couple of problems according to the BMW service center. The first generated the second. My key lost all it's coding and engaged the emobilizer. When I continued trying to start the car with this key I was flooding the engine. I pulled all the plugs let all the fuel evaporate overnight and then used my second key. All was well after that. Bought a new key and now both work well.
